Venue Floor Plans & Layouts

Planning a conference or event in Portland is easier when you can see the space. Floor plans help you map traffic flow, understand room scale, and decide how key moments will feel in the room. They also help us plan photography coverage that stays out of the way and still captures the energy of the event.

Below are quick links to floor plans and layout resources for some of Portland’s most commonly used event venues.

Oregon Convention Center

The Oregon Convention Center publishes a detailed venue guide with floor plans and capacity charts for exhibit halls, ballrooms, meeting rooms, and public spaces.

These resources are useful for planning keynote coverage, breakout room movement, sponsor activations, and expo layouts.

Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center

This hotel is one of Portland’s major conference properties, positioned directly across from the OCC. It offers large ballrooms, flexible breakout rooms, prefunction spaces, and an efficient layout for high-attendance programs.

The Nines features multiple contemporary event spaces, including a large ballroom, gallery-style rooms, and smaller boardrooms. Floor plans and capacities are available through Travel Portland and the hotel’s meetings page.

These resources are especially useful when planning galas, receptions, and executive events downtown.

Sentinel Hotel

Sentinel offers historic ballrooms, unique meeting rooms, and classic Portland architecture. While public floor-plan PDFs are limited, you can see room details, capacities, and an overview of the space online, and access interactive floor plans through event platforms.

For detailed floor plans, it’s often best to contact the hotel’s sales or events team directly and request the latest meeting-space diagrams.

Hotel Eastlund

Hotel Eastlund offers a mix of meeting rooms, a ballroom, boardrooms, and a rooftop event space with city views. The main meetings pages provide sizes and capacities, with additional details available on request.

For final layout diagrams, reach out to their events team and ask for current floor-plan PDFs for your specific space.

Using Floor Plans to Plan Photography

Floor plans are helpful not just for logistics, but also for visual planning. They allow us to:

  • Map primary camera positions for keynotes and main-stage sessions

  • Plan quiet pathways through ballrooms and breakout levels

  • Coordinate with AV teams on sightlines and camera locations

  • Understand where sponsor activations, registration, and networking pockets will live

  • Anticipate crowd flow for receptions and public-facing events

When you share your floor plans with us in advance, we can come in with a clear coverage strategy that keeps us in the right places at the right times, without adding friction to your team.
